Guardsman

Twenty-Five Polaroid's arranged in a grid layout. Part of the Torso series that was an off shoot of the Waiter images. Each frame is manipulated of the same image projected onto the Polaroid  in a darkroom via slide film in an enlarger. The original image is of a guardsman outside Buckingham Place in London. I took the liberty of flipping the image which gives this sort of criss cross effect together with the image repetition creates a visual duality that I use a lot in my work despite each frame being slightly different through alteration.
