About the Image
The Polaroid "Georges", was shot in Williamsburg, VA on Prince George Street. It was a favorite hangout for W&M students, the Greek owner was more than colorful in many ways. I used to go in for lunch often, if you were on your own you had to sit at the counter if you dare to sit a table he would raise a meat cleaver and utter some good old Greek profanity. I would order a BLT and rice pudding and the rice would come up first which I ended eating otherwise I would not get the BLT. There were stories his wife run off with a truck driver, in the end I think the health dept closed him down.
